Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neuromuscular Care Specialist to join our team at UW Health. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered in pediatric neuromuscular outpatient, inpatient, and procedure-based settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with pediatric neuromuscular conditions, including routine post-procedure care and management of complications related to procedures and specialized drug administration.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently, including skin biopsies, lumbar punctures, and specialty medication administration.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in pediatric neuromuscular care.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (for Nurse Practitioners) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (for Physician Assistants).
  • Active RN and APNP license in the State of Wisconsin (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active PA license in the State of Wisconsin (for Physician Assistants).
  • Active board certification as a NP in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse or Family (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active PA board certification (for Physician Assistants).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
