CROWE & DUNLEVY is seeking a skilled paralegal to support our litigation and bankruptcy practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigation paralegal who thrives in a dynamic environment and plays a crucial role within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation, modification, and submission of motions, briefs, subpoenas, and various legal documents in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
  • Support attorneys with the drafting and filing of proofs of claim, motions to lift stay, liens, garnishments, and other creditor-related actions in bankruptcy and civil courts.
  • Facilitate the filing of adversary proceedings and bankruptcy appeals.
  • Coordinate court hearings and foster professional relationships with court clerks and chamber staff across various jurisdictions.
  • Conduct legal research on statutes, civil procedures, and court regulations as required by attorneys.
  • Perform citation checks, prepare indices, and organize exhibits and appendices for legal briefs.
  • Draft and revise charts and demonstrative materials for hearings and depositions under attorney supervision.
  • Conduct online research and property record investigations to identify assets for creditor recovery.
  • Manage docketing of hearing dates and deadlines, ensuring timely communication with attorneys.
  • Oversee the hiring and management of external investigators, process servers, and court reporting services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed timekeeping and billing records on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution or one to two years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.

Certifications: Paralegal certification is preferred.
