Eligible for Sign-On Bonus
Your role encompasses delivering professional law enforcement services aimed at maintaining peace, safeguarding lives, and protecting property. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and investigating unusual activities by responding to alerts and conducting patrols across Carilion Clinic premises to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborating with external law enforcement agencies during their engagement with hospital operations, staff, patients, and visitors.
- Providing security for individuals in custody, mental health patients, and during special events or when dignitaries are present.
- Responding promptly and effectively to service requests related to traffic incidents, criminal activities, or inquiries for assistance.
- Enforcing laws, conducting investigations, and managing crime scene protocols.
- Regulating traffic and overseeing parking compliance.
- Timely completion and submission of all necessary reports.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: While prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Licensure/Certification: Must meet Virginia's minimum training standards for law enforcement officers and hold current certification from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. A valid Virginia driver's license is also required.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must maintain a driving record that aligns with Carilion's Driver Regulations. Applicants must be at least 21 years old as per Virginia state law. Proficiency in computer keyboarding and strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. Must meet Virginia's minimum standards for law enforcement officers.
