Respiratory Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
• Administer treatments and medications accurately and document patient information.
• Provide patient and family education to promote health and well-being.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

• Associate degree and/or certification from a CoARC-approved school of respiratory therapy.
• One to three years of experience preferred.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
