Southern Land Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Community Manager to join our team in Philadelphia, PA.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily, weekly, and month-end reporting, including accurate reporting on resident ledgers. They will also be responsible for securing and managing lease renewals, preparing new lease paperwork, and physically walking and inspecting the community daily to address any issues and verify that property conditions meet company standards.

Additional responsibilities will include assisting with hiring and training of new staff members, monitoring resident satisfaction through various methods of communication and surveys, and developing and maintaining knowledge of area competitors. The Assistant Community Manager will also oversee property operations and staff when the Community Manager is not on property, and assist with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents and preparation of lease agreements as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Yardi products, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years' experience as an assistant manager, and 3 years' experience in property management are required. Fair Housing training and CAM certification are also preferred.
