Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Kinseth Hospitality Companies. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. Ensure that all menu items are prepared to order and presented in a timely manner.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and dishwashers. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and that food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed. Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize inventory costs.
  • Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure that food costs are minimized and that the kitchen is operating within budget.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food products meet expectations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in kitchen management, menu planning, and staff development. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Food Safety Certification, ServSafe Certification, or equivalent.
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The ability to work in a team environment and to adapt to changing circumstances is essential.
