Job Summary
Thomas Cuisine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a luxury retirement community. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the culinary department, ensuring exceptional client and customer service, while maintaining efficient cost-effective management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the kitchen area, implementing the production process and managing food cost/labor cost.
- Develop, mentor, and coach internal associates to ensure high-quality food service and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Implement HACCP and maintain a high level of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
- Extensive catering experience and high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience are highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ability to work with computers.
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
