Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of the nursing department, including supervising nursing staff and coordinating patient care activities.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to assess the quality of patient care and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the orientation program for new nursing employees.
- Conduct daily rounds to evaluate patient care, monitor nursing practices, and identify areas for improvement.

- Assist with the development and implementation of the facility's fire, safety, and disaster plans.
- Participate in employee conferences and assist with progressive disciplinary action as needed.
- Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, and practices.
- Ability to supervise nursing functions in an effective manner.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in nursing leadership or management.
