Job Summary

The Center for Living and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the nursing department, including supervising nursing staff and coordinating patient care activities.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to assess the quality of patient care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the orientation program for new nursing employees.
  • Conduct daily rounds to evaluate patient care, monitor nursing practices, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety and health codes.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the facility's fire, safety, and disaster plans.
  • Participate in employee conferences and assist with progressive disciplinary action as needed.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, and practices.
  • Ability to supervise nursing functions in an effective manner.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in nursing leadership or management.
