Overview of Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Provider plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients, enhancing both access and satisfaction. The responsibilities are defined by the relevant nursing board and the specific medical bylaws of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
This is a full-time position with a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday. The role involves collaboration between various healthcare facilities.
- Fosters and maintains positive relationships with patients and customers (10%)
- Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with colleagues (10%)

- Demonstrates commitment to the organization's mission and values (10%)
- Conducts patient evaluations and formulates diagnoses based on comprehensive assessment data and current research (20%)
- Develops care plans and executes interventions aligned with established protocols and standards (15%)
- Engages with other healthcare professionals in a team-oriented approach to patient and family care (5%)
- Contributes to the educational advancement of staff, patients, families, and self (5%)
- Exhibits leadership qualities and effective management skills (5%)
- Provides educational support through role modeling and training sessions to address identified learning needs and promote professionalism (5%)
- Enhances personal professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review processes (5%)
Additional Duties
- Performs other assigned tasks as necessary.
- Adheres to all organizational policies and standards.
- For specific responsibilities, refer to the documentation provided during orientation.
- Must comply with all regulations to securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
Educational Background
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
Professional Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven leadership abilities (Required proficiency)
- Strong interpersonal skills (Required proficiency)
- Proficient in accessing patient medical data through the healthcare system (Required proficiency)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification in Ohio (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)
- Current APRN License (Required)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting
- Regular lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs
- Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs
- Occasional climbing and balancing
- Regular stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Constant hand-eye coordination and communication skills
Travel Expectations
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
