Director of Clinical Services
Full-time
We are currently in search of a full-time Director of Clinical Services. This role entails overseeing the operations of the Clinical Services Department, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient settings, while ensuring the quality of care delivered through established policies, procedures, and the supervision of both licensed and non-licensed clinical staff. The Director will also foster relationships with social work graduate programs and act as a clinical liaison within the continuum of care. Additionally, this position will contribute to the development of specialized programs for diverse patient populations and maintain partnerships with external agencies, private practitioners, insurers, and families. Participation in regional meetings with public mental health providers is also expected. Utilizing an understanding of developmental principles, the Director will assess each patient's unique needs and provide appropriate clinical interventions.
QualificationsTo excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the competencies outlined in this job description. The qualifications listed below represent the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position. Flexibility is essential for reassignment to meet the needs of varied populations, including adults and individuals with dual diagnoses.
Education:
A Master's Degree in Social Science is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 2 years of management experience in case management and utilization review processes, including concurrent reviews, is required. Previous supervisory experience with both inpatient and outpatient clinical staff is essential. A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience with non-licensed clinical staff is preferred. Experience with graduate school clinical students is a plus. Prior experience in a continuum of care setting is highly desirable.
Licensure/Certification:
MS LCSW or MS LPC licensure is required. CPR Certification is also mandatory.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age-specific growth and development, crisis management, and family therapy principles is preferred.
