Job Summary

The ARCC Associate - Sports and Recreation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the College's physical education programs, intercollegiate athletic programs, county recreation programs, and selected community events. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth execution of events and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Supervise and maintain the athletic facilities, playing fields, and equipment, including setup and monitoring for events and programs.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate large-scale special events and activities, including setup and teardown, on-site coordination, and decision-making in accordance with ARCC policy and procedure.
  • Student Worker Supervision: Share responsibility for assigned student workers, evaluate their performance, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain good working relationships with HCC faculty, coaches, students, county recreation staff, and the general public.
Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred and 2-3 years related experience in sports or recreation.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and assign the work of others.
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with HCC faculty, coaches, students, county recreation staff, and the general public.
  • CPR certification and valid motor vehicle operator's license.
