Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Inn at Aspen is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall operational condition and functionality of our building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
  • Conduct regular surveys of building systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Perform manual repairs as needed, including repairing/ replacing door locks, replacing window fixtures/windows, etc.
  • Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program
  • Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders
  • Perform general upkeep procedures as directed, including landscaping, caulking, painting, etc.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry and painting, as well as drywall and carpet repair work
  • Inspect property to identify potential and current needs
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping to ensure all equipment within guest rooms is functioning properly and is part of an effective preventative maintenance program
  • Flexible schedule to work any shifts, with ability to assist with staffing coverage in case of call-offs
  • Adhere to all company Standard/Conduct policies and procedures
  • Follow company employee handbook for rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
  • General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant attention to detail
