Pitkin County Fleet Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Pitkin County. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair on assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Conduct Department of Transportation inspections on heavy equipment and emergency equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy and light equipment and vehicles
  • Complete steel welding and fabrication and aluminum welding
  • Maintain repair notes and data entry into Fleet Management system
  • Participate in snow removal and yard clean-up of shop grounds
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Up to one year of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
