We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Pitkin County. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on assigned vehicles and equipment
- Conduct Department of Transportation inspections on heavy equipment and emergency equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy and light equipment and vehicles
- Complete steel welding and fabrication and aluminum welding
- Maintain repair notes and data entry into Fleet Management system
- Participate in snow removal and yard clean-up of shop grounds
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Up to one year of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles
- ASE certifications preferred
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Carpool van to and from work
- 4-day work week (10 hours per day)
