About the Role:

The Compounding Staff Pharmacist is a key member of our team at Hims & Hers, responsible for overseeing all compounding activities in our state-of-the-art laboratory. This role requires a high level of expertise in compounding procedures, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct compounding personnel, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
  • Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations.
  • Verify formula records, compounding records, beyond use dates, and finished compounded products.
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of compounding personnel.
  • Coordinate the calibration, maintenance, and use of equipment to compound prescription orders and monitor the compounding environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, USP guidelines, and internal policies for the preparation of compounded medications.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, projects, tasks, and audits as part of our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacist License in Arizona.
  • Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
  • 5+ years of pharmacist experience, at least 3 in a compounding pharmacy.
  • Non-sterile compounding experience.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with remote teams.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
