At St. Luke's Health–Brazosport Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to provide patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
- Prepare equipment ensuring that it is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
- Problem solve equipment failure and contact the Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
- Ensure that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before, during, and after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
- Complete all quality checks and ensure that equipment logs are maintained.
- Complete all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure.
- Actively participate with patient testing, performing urgent, emergent patient requests, routine, and non-routine requests, and OR procedures requiring radiographic support.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
- No experience required.
- American Heart BLS required.
- MRAD:TX (Licensed in State of Texas).
- RTR (Registered with ARRT).
