Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting wellness in our communities. As an LVN at QuadMed, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality patient care, treating each individual with dignity and respect.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in our electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organization information, adhering to federal and state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist in modifying patient treatment plans as needed, consulting with internal and external partners to coordinate care.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by providers.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments, performing diagnostic testing as needed.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling appointments and referring patients to specialists.
  • Participate in professional development activities, maintaining affiliations and staying up-to-date on industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an approved nursing program with an associate degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience.
  • Current license in state of residence or compact licensure.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of practical nursing theories and policies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Computer skills, with electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not required.
