OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this role is to support Silver State Schools Credit Union in fulfilling its Mission, "Exceptional Member Service and Financial Solutions - For Life," by delivering exemplary service to both members and internal stakeholders. A crucial aspect of this service is to recognize member requirements and offer suitable credit union product options.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duty is to process member transactions efficiently. Assist members in resolving account-related issues by recommending solutions that will meet and/or exceed their expectations. Foster member relationships by proactively identifying additional products and services that will help members achieve their financial objectives and create referrals to our internal business partners, including other team members within the organization. Communicate effectively with both prospective and current members and represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner. Provide the highest level of personalized service and quality products while remaining attuned to members' needs and expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Welcome and assist members at the teller line (or express pod) with their transactional needs.
  • Recommend and clarify suitable deposit, lending, and investment products.
  • Identify additional opportunities to enhance the member's relationship with the credit union and refer members to appropriate team members or support departments.
  • Process a variety of financial transactions for members, including account openings and closures, issuing checks, and handling deposits and withdrawals.
  • Address and investigate member inquiries regarding account operations, service access, resolving discrepancies, and assisting members in utilizing automated services effectively.
  • Meet or exceed all minimum expectations or goals set by management.
  • Explain the features and benefits of credit union electronic services.
  • Identify opportunities to refer business to other internal partners within the credit union.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist in training new Client Service Associates in financial service transactions and procedures.
  • Follow established credit union policies and procedures, government regulations, and security guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the credit union's computer system for basic input/output tasks, including Word and Excel, is preferred.
