Job Overview

Cornerstone Detention Products is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the entire life cycle of our detention equipment projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with project engineers, field resources, material vendors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage job records and files, including job costing, billing information, and schedule of values.
  2. Schedule manpower and assist in coordinating material and equipment deliveries.
  3. Report on project progress and status, and identify and issue change orders from various sources.
  4. Log change order issues as change management items and initiate requests for pricing from vendors or subcontractors.
  5. Manage change issues per contract requirements and send proposed change orders to customers for approval.
  6. Obtain written approval of change orders and coordinate required changes to schedule with the Contract Manager, scheduler, procurement, and PE.
  7. Review and re-execute start-up procedures as applicable and conduct kick-off meetings with Field Operations Management and the Project Superintendent.
  8. Coordinate with the Project Superintendent to ensure project meets profitability targets and perform timely communication with field management through daily field reports.
  9. Review time sheets and expense reports weekly for accuracy and timely submission to accounting, and review all project costs monthly to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
  10. Obtain the substantial completion date from the contractor or architect and create Cornerstone warranty from standard form.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science, or a relevant field.
  2. 5 years of experience as a construction project manager or equivalent field in construction management.
  3. 8+ years of equivalent experience.

  2. Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects.
  3. Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  6. Goal-oriented and organized leadership.
  7. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  8. In-depth understanding of the construction industry.
  9. Self-motivated and self-directed.
  10. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred.
  11. Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.
  12. Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
