Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mathematics Instructor to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and educational programs to students in a secondary school setting.

• Teaching and Instruction: Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, promoting student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement.
• Student Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and grade assessments, assignments, and projects to evaluate student progress and understanding.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in education, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the development of educational programs and policies.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
• Certification: Valid Alabama teacher certification for secondary level and/or specialized area.
• Experience: Proven experience in teaching and instructional leadership, with a strong track record of student achievement and growth.

This is a full-time position, working 187 days per year. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced educational environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality instruction and educational programs to students.
