Practice Manager Job Description

At Suburban Animal Clinic, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Practice Manager will be responsible for managing all essential business functions in the veterinary practice and supporting our practice teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth and manage expenses to ensure profitability
  • Develop and maintain salary schedules and job evaluations for all employees
  • Provide input on an annual budget and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws
  • Establish and execute performance evaluations and internal operating procedures
  • Partner with the Managing Doctor to ensure all team members are adhering to practice operating procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous management experience is required, with previous veterinary medicine experience preferred
  • Ability to work on weekends when needed and lift patients or carry equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills and computer skills, including MS office applications
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate medication dosages
