Key Responsibilities- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
- Uphold the confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, including mobility support and meal delivery.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bathing and the use of bedpans.
- Deliver adjunct care as necessary, such as providing ice packs or dressings to alleviate discomfort.
- Monitor and document residents' food intake and output, sharing this information with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Implement infection control measures in all activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols and report any safety concerns.
- A genuine passion for working with the senior population.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team leaders.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in interactions with residents and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
