Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier and Sales Associate. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to every customer, every time
  • React to and report customer complaints in a tactful and prompt manner
  • Follow all company safety and security policies
  • Identify and eliminate safety hazards
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions to management
  • Prepare required accident/incident reports and notify Human Resources
  • Report to work on time and adjust to work schedule as needed
  • Operate cash registers and point-of-sale equipment efficiently
  • Handle cash and safe drops in accordance with company policies
  • Follow credit card and check cashing policies
  • Prepare shift reports and other reports required by management
  • Follow company policies and procedures for beverage and tobacco sales
  • Clean shelves, drives, dispensers, restrooms, and other designated areas
  • Pricing, stocking, rotating, and counting merchandise
  • Count inventory
  • Prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by team members, vendors, and customers
  • Build and take down displays
  • Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous customer service experience desired
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before customers and team members
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
