Booth Creek Wagyu (BCW) is a vertically integrated wagyu beef business, primarily based in Manhattan, Kansas. The company's vision is to become the leading direct-to-consumer premium beef provider in the US.
Company OverviewBCW comprises four entities:
- Ranch: A 500 cow/calf operation with extensive embryo transfer, AI, and partnership calf buyback programs. As genetics are proven on the rail, seed stock opportunities will arise.
- Meatworks of Kansas: Our wholly owned processing entity, responsible for monthly financial statements including significant work-in-progress. We buy and sell other customers' carcasses after grading for use in our beef co or resale.
- Wagyu Feeders Inc: Our terminal feed company, feeding cattle alongside customer-fed animals.
- Booth Creek Wagyu Inc: Our distribution entity, selling online through our own center and supplying our two specialty meat market stores.
We seek an experienced Financial Director to oversee accounting, finance, and potential distribution center operations for these entities. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage monthly financial statements, including WIP management.
- Create investment proposals and handle significant analytical tasks.
- Oversee audit processes for operating companies.
- Consolidate and analyze data for market research and forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Agricultural Economics.
- MBA or CPA preferred; agricultural background and/or relevant work experience beneficial.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance roles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to ask questions.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary between $140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and supplemental coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan with company match.
