Job Title: Cardiac Sonography - GROW

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonography professional to join our team as part of our GROW career pathway program. This program offers 100% tuition coverage for the last one to two semesters of the program, allowing students to participate with no upfront cost. Upon completion of the program, you will be guaranteed a full-time position at Penn State Health, with a minimum one-year commitment required.

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies under the supervision of a sonographer from a more senior category or a physician. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound studies using various modalities, including echocardiography and Doppler ultrasound.
  • Interpret and report imaging results to healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical skill and knowledge in cardiac sonography.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advances in the field.
Requirements:
  • Must be ARDMS or CCI registered or registry eligible.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 6 months from hire.
  • Reliable transportation to travel among designated clinic locations.
  • Flexibility to collaboratively work with various departments and perform varied tasks.
