- Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and guarantee that all work meets high standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to enhance the skills and efficiency of team members.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and enforce all safety protocols.
- Project Coordination:
- Examine project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of electrical installations.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to schedule and plan work activities.
- Monitor project progress, manage materials and supplies, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise on-site to minimize project interruptions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect electrical work to confirm compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Conduct quality assessments on all installations and repairs to ensure they align with company and industry standards.
- Address any deficiencies or non-compliant work promptly and effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain precise records of labor, materials, and work completed.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on project status, progress, and any encountered issues.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Client Engagement:
- Act as the primary contact for clients on the job site.
- Address client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and maintaining an organized job site.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman capacity is essential.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training is preferred.
- Licensing:
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license is necessary.
- OSHA certification is advantageous.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Work is primarily conducted on commercial construction sites, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and physical hazards.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
