Job Summary:

The Airfield Electric Supervisor is responsible for leading a team in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the airfield lighting system and some facility electrical systems.

Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance personnel, determining material needs, recording work performed by the team, assigning time and material charges to appropriate account numbers, and ensuring safe work practices.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree, Postsecondary apprenticeship, or related training
  • Journeyman certification
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Valid CLASS D Driver's License
Essential Job Duties:

Leads the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, improvement, and general upkeep of the airfield electrical equipment and some facility electrical equipment; schedules work orders based on safety, security, and time sensitivity.

Supervises personnel to include participating on interview panels for new hires, training and on-boarding new employees, setting goals, assisting with goal achievement, providing feedback and evaluating performance, approving leave and payroll submissions, and making job assignments.

Adheres to and stays informed of all relevant FAA documents. Responsible for training staff on same documents.

Schedules mandatory or essential meetings and classes for team members.

Participates in FAA FAR Part 139 meetings and annual inspection.

Adheres to and enforces requirements of MNAA's policies and procedures.

Encourages team to participate in work programs related to inspection, coordination, and quality improvement.

Ensures personnel utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follows proper safety requirements.

Orders and receives material for the department; maintains spare parts, tool inventory, and airfield electrical schematics/technical manuals.

Operates within the constraints of an approved budget; records work performed by team and assigns time and material charges to appropriate account numbers.

Requests and receives quotes; assists with ordering equipment.

Supports Engineering projects with involvement in design meetings, project progress meetings, and equipment installation in construction projects.

Plans and schedules maintenance personnel and materials required to support maintenance activities.

Supports airport snow operations to include extended stay at airport during events.

Maintains AOA driving permit and trains new employees to drive on the ramp and AOA.

Follows all safety regulations.

Maintains regular, overtime, and on-call attendance.

Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).

Performs other duties as assigned.
