About Tava:
Tava Health is a venture-backed, online mental health platform that collaborates with employers to deliver convenient, high-quality, and accessible mental health resources to employees and their dependents.
As our clinical network continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Credentialing Specialist. This individual will oversee the credentialing process for our current and incoming clinicians.
They will also have the opportunity to shape Tava's policies and procedures, making a significant impact on the department's strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compile and maintain accurate and up-to-date data for all providers within our network.
2. Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications, ensuring follow-up as necessary.
3. Maintain current copies of state licenses, DEA certificates (if applicable), malpractice coverage, and other essential credentialing documents.
4. Serve as an in-house expert on NCQA and health plan requirements for credentialing providers and managing delegated credentialing status.
5. Ensure that all addresses are current with health plans and other relevant entities.
6. Obtain and verify primary source verification from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
7. Conduct exclusion screenings on providers with SAM, OIG, OFAC, CMS Opt-out, and state agencies.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
9. Maintain confidentiality of all provider and credentialing-related information.
10. Assist with commercial payer and Medicaid enrollments.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. A minimum of 2 years of credentialing experience is preferred.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice business office is preferred.
4. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently and maintain focus for extended periods.
8. Proficient in web-based products and quick to learn new applications.
9. Experience working remotely is preferred.
