Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management of patients with cardio-respiratory system deficiencies and abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory plans of care.
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Demonstrate expertise in invasive and non-invasive ventilator care, as well as blood gas laboratory procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
  • Operate and maintain medical gas and airway humidification systems, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Utilize computer information management systems to document patient care activities and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Respiratory Care with a high school diploma.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 10 years of experience, or ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care.
