Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist with Virtua Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients with cardio-respiratory disorders. This per diem position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop personalized respiratory plans of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Demonstrate expertise in invasive and non-invasive ventilator care, as well as blood gas laboratory procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting disease management and wellness.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain medical gas and airway humidification systems, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Utilize computer information management systems to document patient care activities, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Respiratory Care with an Associate's Degree.
  • Registered or Registry Eligible as a Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • BLS credential.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care.
