We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Public Space Attendant/Houseperson to join our dynamic team at The Essex Resort & Spa. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our public spaces, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby area, including dusting, vacuuming, and furniture arrangement.
  • Polish brass sign displays and stairway handrails to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
  • Monitor and replace telephone message pads and pens at public telephones to ensure seamless communication.
  • Conduct regular inspections of concierge carpeting to maintain its cleanliness and appearance.
  • Ensure the newspaper stand is always neat and tidy.
  • Dust pictures and furniture to maintain a polished appearance.
  • Regularly inspect and clean public restrooms, including poolside restrooms, and restock paper supplies as needed.
  • Check and clean employee restrooms twice daily and restock supplies.
  • Remove trash and vacuum carpets in internal offices.
  • Maintain a neat appearance of work carts.
  • Report any maintenance needs or special cleaning requirements.
  • Return lost and found articles to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Adhere to safety standards at all times, cleaning up spills immediately.
Requirements:
  • Housekeeping experience is desirable.
  • A neat appearance and pleasant personality are essential.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses.
