MRI Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Gundersen Lutheran Administrative. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Key Responsibilities- Work with patients and their families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of Magnetic Resonance Imaging services.
- Understand and apply the concepts of Magnetic Resonance when performing examinations on patients.
- Demonstrate accurate knowledge of established protocols and equipment operation when performing exams on patients.
- Provide high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Ensure the safety of patients entering the MRI Scan suite.
- Maintain confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational information.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education as required by the department.
- Assume responsibility to provide a high-quality learning environment for patients, their families, students, and co-workers.
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as listed on the competency checklist and as requested by others.
- Post-high school education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited MRI program.
- 6 months of clinical experience in radiology technology program.
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification.
- Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) certification.
- 3-4 years of experience in radiology technology.
- Registered Technologist-Radiography & Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) certification.
