Job Summary

Mission Point Community Church is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, with experience in developing and implementing effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote the church's mission and values
  • Manage and oversee the execution of communication via the website, app, emails, social media, print materials, and videos
  • Support Mission Point ministries with communications requests and set follow-up meetings to confirm needs and timelines
  • Manage the communications request form and all requests
  • Make all registration pages in PCO
  • Develop and manage communications calendar for planning, prioritizing, and executing effectively
  • Recruit and schedule volunteer photographers for Sundays
  • Liaison with media vendors (designers, website, printers, etc.)
  • Manage communications budget
Requirements
  • An evident and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Candidate must be a committed member of the MP Church Family
  • A strong sense of calling/passion to serve the local church
  • A whole-hearted agreement with Mission Point's Statements of Faith and Biblical Morality and Biblical Affirmations of Conduct & Conviction standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations or related field
  • Familiarity with website design and use of some web design platforms
  • Must demonstrate decision-making, creative vision, and the ability to delegate
  • Ability to understand, motivate, and support ministry leaders and congregants
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with various types of people
  • Attentive to details
  • Proficient in creative programs such as InDesign, Adobe, Photoshop, etc.
  • Familiarity with working in social media platforms
Position Structure

Reports to Executive Pastor

Time Commitment: Part-time, 25-29 Hours per Week
