Bartender Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Kaya, a renowned dining destination known for its complex menu and festive tropical drinks. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for guiding our guests through the menu, answering questions, and making recommendations. You will also prepare and serve drinks consistent with our restaurant's standards and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.

To succeed in this position, you should have a knowledge of all wines, spirits, and beers. You will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve drinks to guests
  • Guide guests through the menu and make recommendations
  • Serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
  • Develop a knowledge of all wines, spirits, and beers
  • Provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background screen
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food
