Job Summary:

The Clinical Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians. This role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to recognize differences in care for various age groups.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians

Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff and/or physicians as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Current nursing student with completion of at least two semesters, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion, or certification in Phlebotomy

Previous Clinical Technician experience preferred

Valid BLS certification or obtained during Patient Care Orientation

Additional Requirements:

60-90 day temporary assignment, non-benefit eligible

Must work every other weekend, every other holiday, and 36 hours per week/72 hours per pay period

Must fulfill day schedule commitment

Minimum of 1.5-2 years related work experience required
