Clinical Technician

The Clinical Tech role at Henry Ford Health System involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of department nursing staff and/or physicians. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following: current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion, or certification in Phlebotomy. Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians.
Recognize differences in care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
Maintain valid BLS certification or obtain during Patient Care Orientation.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one of the following: current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion, or certification in Phlebotomy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an acute care setting.
