Clinical Technician

The Clinical Technician plays a vital role in providing direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians in the Medical ICU. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following: current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion, certification in Phlebotomy, or previous Clinical Tech experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians.
• Recognize differences in care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one of the following: current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion, certification in Phlebotomy, or previous Clinical Tech experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
This position is located in the Medical ICU and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Clinical Technician must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed. Regular attendance and punctuality are required for this role.
