Responsibilities
As a Telemetry Nurse, you'll be responsible for closely monitoring patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rhythms, and respiration. You'll also be responsible for explaining test results to patients and their loved ones, helping them make informed decisions about their care.
In this role, you'll work closely with our doctors and other clinical specialists to observe patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. You'll build trust with patients and their families by providing clear and concise information, and by being a resource for them throughout their stay.
As a Clinical Nurse II, you'll demonstrate in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care, and will be able to practice independently. You'll also serve as a resource person and preceptor, helping to educate and develop our nursing team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a current California Registered Nurse license, as well as current CPR, ACLS & PALs certification. You'll also need to have at least six months of current medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting or specialty area.
Preferred Requirements
Other certification as specified by area of practice is preferred.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 121RN, and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
