Job SummaryThe Certified Surgical Technologist will provide direct and indirect technical care to surgical/obstetric patients, facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
- Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures
- High school graduate and graduate of a Department of Education (DOE) or Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) accredited surgical technology program
- 1 year of experience as a Surgical or OB Technologist in an acute care or ambulatory setting
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
