Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at Access Dubuque. As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Process point-of-sale transactions and shipments
- File hard-copy prescriptions and other pharmacy records
- Stock and inventory prescription medication and pharmacy supplies
- Process wholesale drug orders and reconcile products received with packing slips/invoices
- Perform pharmacy drug inventory control; including cycle counts and annual inventory counts
- Update patient demographic information in the pharmacy electronic record
- Answer phone calls; document requests and forward to Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
- Support operations of Pharmacy Team as needed
Requirements
- Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, meets deadlines, establish priorities, and be flexible
- Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time within limited space
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
