Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will be a key member of our high-performing strategic sourcing team, responsible for identifying and leading complex cross-functional supply chain optimization and expense reduction initiatives across the enterprise. This role will support the strategic sourcing team throughout the entire sourcing process, managing key procurement reports and data. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a keen interest and ability to develop strategic sourcing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the strategic sourcing team in managing, identifying, and conducting sourcing initiatives (RFX), providing fact-based recommendations to executive-level management
• Be adaptable and flexible with assignments, optimizing and analyzing recurring reports for spend, agreements, and suppliers
• Conduct spend analysis and market research on various categories upon request, researching, analyzing, and documenting business objectives, market supply, and competitive benchmarking in support of a strategic category plan
• Increase spend under management through supplier compliance analysis and reporting, monitoring upcoming contract expirations, and proactively correcting and maintaining reportable data fields
• Ensure contract or program savings are measured, tracked, and reported to Finance, managing supplier order guides and other standard templates
• Track and report supplier-level spend insight by reviewing invoices and obtaining necessary reporting from the supplier, participating in established meetings with business stakeholders to understand strategic direction, business requirements, and objectives/priorities across assigned categories
• Draft RFX documents, manage supplier onboarding, including risk assessments and reference checks, input agreements into contract systems, and manage throughout the approval process
• Continuously seek out process improvements and cost savings opportunities, recommending efforts to realize those opportunities, managing overall supplier performance, acting as an escalation point in the event of non-performance, and improving supplier relationships and performance by establishing and measuring contracted supplier SLAs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field or a combination of education and sourcing/supply chain experience
• Two years of procurement/supply chain experience, with a valid state-issued driver's license, personal transportation, good driving record, and auto insurance as required by law
• Licensure, certification, registration, or designation desirable, with CPP or CPPM certification being a plus
• Health care industry experience and multi-state and multi-site sourcing experience preferred
