Breast Imaging Quality Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breast Imaging Quality Navigator to join our team at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital (BWFH). As a key member of our Breast Imaging department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest levels of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Breast Imaging Exams and Procedures: Conduct breast imaging exams and procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide Patient Guidance and Support: Work closely with patients to explain and schedule recommended breast imaging exams and procedures, ensuring a seamless and empathetic experience.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Partner with other Breast Imaging network Quality Navigators and administrative teams to ensure accurate data entry, pathology tracking, and notification.
- Generate Audit Reports and Oversee Outcomes: Develop and maintain audit reports and oversee outcomes lists to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
- Assist with Quality Control and Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance processes to ensure continuous compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support Research and Quality Improvement Projects: Contribute to research and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Attend Staff Meetings and Maintain CEUs: Attend staff meetings and maintain required continuing education units (CEUs) to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology: Possess a degree from an accredited radiologic technology program and current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography.
- Massachusetts DPH License in Radiography and Mammography: Hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) license in Radiography and Mammography.
- Breast Care Navigator Certification: Obtain Breast Care Navigator Certification within one year of employment and maintain certification through ongoing education and performance.
- Minimum of 4-5 Years of Experience: Possess a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in radiology, with a strong understanding of mammography and breast care.
- Knowledge of MQSA, ACR, and Mass State Mammography Regulations: Demonstrate expertise in performing mammography quality control testing and adhering to MQSA, ACR, and Mass State mammography regulations.
