Job Title: Direct Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to support individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Support residents in achieving their Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • Assist residents with personal care, including grooming, bathroom needs, and meal preparation.
  • Transport residents to appointments, activities, and social events, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid California Driver's License.
