About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Fireman Derek's Bake Shop. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and contributing to the success of our bakery.

Responsibilities:
  • Greeting Customers: Welcome and engage with customers, providing a warm and inviting experience.
  • Decorating and Serving: Prepare and serve a variety of baked goods, including pies, cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, and ice cream.
  • Baking and Preparing: Assist with baking and preparing cookies, pot pies, and empanadas, as well as making milkshakes and coffee.
  • Fulfilling Orders: Process and fulfill take-out orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Restocking and Cleaning: Restock shelves, clean the store, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Washing and Sanitizing: Wash dishes and utensils, and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
  • Organizing and Inventory: Assist with organizing products, taking inventory, and maintaining a well-stocked store.
  • Trash Removal and Maintenance: Remove trash and recyclables, and perform general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize customer tables, seating areas, and other high-touch surfaces.
Requirements:
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Uniform and Grooming: Maintain a neat and clean appearance, adhering to our uniform and grooming standards.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Follow proper food safety and handling procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers and colleagues.
