Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team at Ross Stores. As a Retail Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales floor with a sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone, including identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide product information in a knowledgeable and polite manner.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Merchandise all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintain merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist customers.
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and store safety.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
Working Conditions

The Retail Associate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions. The associate will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and move around the store, as well as perform cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned.
