Funciones Principales:

El Especialista en Investigación trabaja en colaboración con el abogado defensor para investigar alegaciones de violaciones a las leyes penales y posibles defensas a dichas alegaciones. Bajo la supervisión del abogado asignado, el especialista planifica y lleva a cabo investigaciones exhaustivas de casos penales.

Esto incluye realizar entrevistas con testigos, investigar registros y contactar diversas fuentes para obtener hechos y declaraciones firmadas. El especialista verifica y corrobora toda la información obtenida, analiza los hallazgos y presenta informes detallados para el uso de los abogados.

Las investigaciones pueden requerir viajes de una o más noches. El Especialista en Investigación también llevará a cabo otras tareas relacionadas según se le asigne.


Calificaciones Requeridas:
Educación:

El candidato seleccionado debe poseer un título universitario en uno de los siguientes campos: Administración de Justicia Criminal, Derecho, Criminología, Ciencias Políticas, Psicología, Sociología, Inglés, Periodismo o Comunicación Masiva, o en un campo relacionado. La educación debe ser de una institución acreditada reconocida por el Departamento de Educación de EE. UU.


Otros Requisitos:
  • Licencia de conducir válida de EE. UU.
  • Vehículo privado asegurado y confiable.
  • Sin condenas según lo definido en el Código D.C.
  • Ciudadanía estadounidense o autorización actual para trabajar en EE. UU.

Calificaciones Preferidas:

Se valorará positivamente la capacidad de hablar y escribir en español con fluidez, así como la experiencia en investigaciones de defensa penal y mitigación. También se busca experiencia en análisis de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos, así como habilidades en el uso de software relacionado con la justicia penal.

Compensación:

El rango salarial para este puesto es de $53,105 a $122,459 por año, dependiendo de la experiencia y las calificaciones del candidato.
