Scismic Inc is proud to support a pioneering non-profit organization that specializes in comprehensive rehabilitation services for children and adults. This organization offers a range of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, and feeding/nutrition therapy, as well as educational support for families with young children through its Early Intervention Program.

We are currently seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to enhance our dedicated team. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available after one year of service.

Position Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will utilize a parent education model within the Early Intervention program to assist clients in developing or recovering their physical and cognitive abilities. This role involves implementing targeted programs aimed at addressing speech delays and feeding challenges, along with fulfilling various administrative responsibilities to support program objectives. The position requires flexibility in coverage across various service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement innovative therapy programs, focusing on initiation, expansion, and evaluation.
  • Conduct initial assessments and follow-up evaluations for clients, analyzing their conditions and determining the necessity for additional therapy evaluations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and participate in multidisciplinary case meetings to assess ongoing treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay aligned with best practices and meet licensure requirements.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage diverse patient personalities effectively.
  • Interpret assessment data and produce detailed reports that highlight client strengths and barriers, guiding program development and evidence-based interventions.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct in all decision-making processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work with individuals facing significant developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion in a professional setting.
  • Certification from the National Board for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current Speech Therapy License from the State of Nevada.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with children, demonstrating knowledge of relevant treatment practices.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing speech therapy practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, using hands for manipulation, and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment:

The position may involve significant travel within designated service areas, exposing the employee to various outdoor weather conditions.
