Job Title: Digital Education Teacher

Join the BJU Education Group team as a Digital Education Teacher, where you will play a vital role in creating high-quality educational materials for Christian schools and homeschools. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational content primarily through distance learning video courses, as well as other electronic platforms and print materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Digital Education Senior Manager to design academic content for assigned courses
  • Work with the art department and visuals specialist to determine set design, master slide design, and overall visual "look and feel" for assigned courses
  • Write lessons designed for single-student studio presentations based on BJU Press course/content
  • Work with a segment content specialist to identify appropriate content for special video segments
  • Prepare slides and other visuals for assigned courses with the assistance of a team member
  • Work with a packet specialist to prepare supporting paperwork for assigned courses
  • Adapt content for online course use with the help of an online specialist
  • Prepare valid, reliable, and online-compatible assessments with the assistance of an assessments specialist
  • Produce special video segments with a production team
  • Record video lessons for assigned courses with a video specialist
  • Make any needed corrections to video lessons and/or content with a QC specialist
  • Prepare promotional and/or support videos for BJU Press courses and other products with Marketing
Requirements:
  • Understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy
  • Knowledge of subject matter being taught
  • Understanding of the target audience (elementary, junior high, or high school)
  • Ability to develop educationally sound lesson plans using BJU Press course/content
  • Ability to explain new content clearly and logically
  • Ability to integrate biblical principles in subject matter
  • Ability to model and teach critical thinking
  • Ability to speak clearly, fluently, and naturally on camera
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond to questions, complaints, and suggestions from users
  • Good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Good writing skills
  • Organizational ability
  • Microsoft Office
