Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Network is a leading healthcare provider in Los Angeles, California, and we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Neurology Specialist to join our team.

The PGY2 Pharmacist Neurology Residency program is designed to prepare the resident for a career as a neurology ambulatory care pharmacist. The resident will be immersed in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network Neurology programs and collaborate with neurologists and other providers on the management of patients with various neurologic disorders.

The resident, working under Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA), will be responsible for developing treatment plans, initiating/adjusting/discontinuing medications per protocol and standard of care, and precepting pharmacy students and PGY1 residents.

In addition, the resident will have the opportunity to participate in transitions of care activities and to learn about population health management and managed care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop treatment plans for patients with various neurologic disorders
  • Initiate, adjust, and discontinue medications per protocol and standard of care
  • Precept pharmacy students and PGY1 residents

Requirements
  • Doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • California Pharmacist license
  • Completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program or 3 years experience in ambulatory care setting
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Letter of intent
