SUMMARY:

As a Lead Teller at Trustco Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service, managing cash transactions, and ensuring adherence to all operational and security protocols. Your responsibilities will include supervising the cash vault, preparing necessary documentation, and driving branch success through effective cross-selling of our financial products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Assist clients with a variety of transactions and banking services
  • Oversee the cash vault and ensure tills are balanced
  • Prepare required reports and maintain accurate records for audits
  • Process night deposits and ensure daily ATM balances
  • Maintain a clean and organized counter area
  • Promote products and services to enhance branch performance
  • Continuously improve banking knowledge and sales strategies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service and cash handling
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in the banking sector

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time role with scheduled hours aligned with branch operations.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional travel may be necessary.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Strong communication skills in the primary language(s) utilized in the workplace. Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capability to lift and stand for extended durations
  • Dexterity for handling cash
  • Proficient operation of office equipment
  • Effective communication skills
