About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Physical Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Cantex Continuing Care Network in Southwest Houston, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing coordinated physical therapy services to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, promoting patient education, and participating in ongoing professional development is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other treatment modalities as ordered by the physician and delegated by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide effective patient and caregiver education on safe exercise practices, disease management, and overall wellness strategies.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, including assessment data, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensure continuity, and facilitate seamless transitions between settings.
Requirements
  • A graduate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • An active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • One year of experience in a similar role, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • CPR certification.

Salary: $59,000 (estimated annual salary range based on industry standards and location)
